Lost in cyberspace? Here is Ahmedabad's very own local network for all the net-enthus: Live Wire! Bulletin Board Service (BBS) . The look is of the World Wide Web minus, of course, the waiting to get logged in. BBS is an electronic equivalent of a notice board where notices of general and specific interest are put up.

With a graphical interface based on HTML, it is similar to the Internet TCP/IP account. Live Wire! BBS offers a rich multimedia experience with graphics and sound. It gives you loads of info from the Net, allows you to download games, software and exchange mail. It is your own local Internet.

BharatNet Live Wire! BBS extends to Baroda, Mumbai, Calcutta, Delhi, Chennai and Pune. It offers connectivity to the Fidonet, the largest BBS electronic network in the world. It is India's first public access BBS and FidoNet Node.
